Policy Practice, Mobile Families and Long Term Housing and Care Options

This ethnography explores the work of people who are known in the healthcare and social services discourses as ‘informal caregivers’  — how they access and coordinate care for a family member and how what they do connects to the work of ‘home support service providers in government agencies or community service organizations. A major problem for developing policies for them was that they “fall outside the Canada Health Act.”
